The goal of the audition is to enable you to best demonstrate your musical achievement. Select pieces from the repertoire below that you feel confident with and that display your strengths and interests. We encourage you to consult with your music teacher or private lesson teacher when choosing and preparing your repertoire. We also invite you to contact s. -Each audition includes demonstrations of scales, a study and a solo-
2 octave chromatic scale starting on low F, ascending and descending, slurred and with steady rhythm; 2 octave D major scale (starting on D one octave below the staff) and a 2 octave B-flat major scale (starting on Bb below middle C), ascending and descending, all notes tongued and non-staccato. All scales played with a steady tempo and consistent rhythm.

one movement from any one of the following
Mozart: Horn Concerto nos. 1, 2, 3, or 4

The candidate may be asked to play a piece at sight.
